Free PDF anyone?

There are many commercial PDF products emerging in the market. Do you have to shell out $100+ to create a PDF file you can be proud of? I don't think so, not unless you really need all the hardcore features. For most of your eBook purposes, there are plently of PDF compilers that will do the job for you for free.

If you have a word processor like OpenOffice, it might already have an option to export to PDF. OpenOffice is also a free and opensource tool, available at http://www.openoffice.org . If the download size is too much for you, and you prefer to use some other tool for your eBook designing, then you can download PrimoPDF at http://www.primopdf.com . Its also completly free.

PrimoPDF is a virtual printer for creating PDF files. If you are creating an eBook design in an HTML designer or something else which has an option to print your document, you can use PrimoPDF to convert it to PDF. Just select PrimoPDF as a printer, and it will ask you for several options like where to save, security options etc.
